Gadaa Bank S.C. reported a profit before tax of 1.05 billion birr for the 2025/26 fiscal year, representing a 135 percent increase compared to the 444.79 million birr recorded in the previous period. The results were presented during the bank's 5th Annual General Meeting held on September 19, 2026, at the Addis Ababa International Convention Center.
According to the bank's consolidated annual report, gross revenue climbed to 2.96 billion birr, a 77 percent rise. Total expenses grew by 55 percent to 1.9 billion birr, a trend the bank attributed to ongoing investments in branch network expansion, human resources, and technological infrastructure.
After accounting for 286.76 million birr in income tax, the bank's net profit reached 759.23 million birr, more than doubling the 342.76 million birr reported in the prior year. Total comprehensive income for the period stood at 801.28 million birr.

Board Chairman Hassen Hussien (PhD) noted that the fiscal year marked the first full implementation of the bank's revised corporate strategy. Growth was supported by a 68 percent expansion in the deposit base and an increase in the total branch network to 110 locations. The bank also reported that its digital channels now serve over 300,000 subscribers.
The bank's asset quality remains high, with a reported Non-Performing Loan ratio of 0.7 percent. Additionally, its capital markets arm, Gadaa Securities Dealer S.C., has opened brokerage accounts for 3,000 clients since its inception. As Gadaa Bank continues to scale its operations, the focus remains on leveraging digital banking channels and optimized foreign currency management to maintain institutional resilience in the competitive Ethiopian banking sector.
