Editorial Standards & Ownership
How Aksion.ET reports, sources, verifies, and corrects Ethiopian business and capital-market news, and who stands behind it.
Our mission and coverage
Aksion.ET is an independent Ethiopian business and financial news publication. We report on Ethiopia's banking sector, the Ethiopian Securities Exchange (ESX), capital markets, foreign-exchange and Treasury-bill auctions, company and investment news, and the wider economy.
Our goal is to give readers, investors, businesses, and institutions accurate, timely, and useful information about Ethiopia's markets, backed wherever possible by primary data such as bank financial statements, official rates, and exchange filings.
Ownership and independence
Aksion.ET is operated as an independent publication. Our editorial decisions are made by our editorial desk and are not directed by advertisers, data customers, or any covered company. Advertising and data products are kept separate from newsroom coverage.
For questions about ownership, editorial leadership, or corporate details, please reach us through our contact page.
How we source and report
We base our reporting on identifiable sources: official statements and filings, regulator and government publications, company disclosures, verified market data, and named organisations. Where a story draws on another outlet's reporting, we add original Ethiopian market context, analysis, or data rather than republishing it.
We do not publish figures, quotes, decisions, or claims that our sources do not support. When information cannot be confirmed, we either leave it out or clearly state what is not yet known.
Authorship and bylines
Articles carry a byline identifying the author or the Aksion.ET editorial desk, along with a publication date and time. Each author has a profile page listing their recent work.
Where an article is produced by our newsroom collectively, it is credited to the Aksion Editorial Team.
Accuracy, corrections, and complaints
We aim to correct significant factual errors promptly. If you believe an article contains an inaccuracy, please contact us with the article link and the specific detail in question, and we will review it.
We welcome feedback and complaints about our coverage and handle them through our contact page.
Corrections, questions, or feedback about our coverage can be sent through the
